Emma Mae Stephens

	Emma Mae Stephens, 85, of DuQuoin, passed away at 9:12 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2000 at Benton Health Care. 
	Emma had retired as a Nurses Aid from the Fair Acres Nursing Home in DuQuoin after 20 years of service.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DuQuoin.
	Emma was born May 18, 1914 at DuQuoin, the daughter of Zepha and Ada (Little) Harriss.  She married Elmer Stephens on December 24, 1933 at DuQuoin and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1975.
	She is survived by one daughter, Janet Wright and husband Delmar of DuQuoin; one son, Tom Stephens and wife Ruth of Christopher; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Ruby Bailey; two great-grandchildren; one step brother and one half-sister.
	Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13 at the Sunset Memorial Park in DuQuoin with Rev. Max Borah officiating.  Those attending the services were asked to go directly to the cemetery.
	The Searby Funeral Home of DuQuoin was in charge of arrangements.
	Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park.
